Turbine meters / turbine flow meters are precise and cost-effective measuring instruments for measuring low- and medium-viscosity liquids and gases. The robust measuring principle can measure the flow of a wide range of clean liquids.

The plastic versions are suitable for most water-based liquids, the stainless steel versions for corrosive liquids. The aluminum meters are designed for fuels and additives. In addition, gases such as argon can be measured.

The medium flowing through the measuring device acts on the turbine blades, which can rotate freely around an axis in the center line of the turbine housing. The angular (rotational speed) of the turbine rotor is directly proportional to the speed of the medium flowing through the turbine. The pulses are linear to the flow and are taken from one or more electrical sensors mounted on the housing of the measuring device.
