How does a
turbine meter work?
ATTRIBUTES
The medium flowing through the measuring device acts on the turbine blades, which can rotate freely around an axis in the center line of the turbine housing. The angular (rotational speed) of the turbine rotor is directly proportional to the speed of the medium flowing through the turbine. The pulses are linear to the flow and are taken from one or more electrical sensors mounted on the housing of the measuring device.
• Robust construction and compact design
• High-quality tungsten carbide or ceramic bearings with low wear and a long lifetime
• Variable use thanks to different sensors as well as a variety of connections and nominal diameters
• Low pressure drop
• Corrosion-resistant materials
• Stainless steel version for many water and food applications as well as for chemicals and fuels
• Aluminum for petroleum-based liquids
• PVDF for aggressive chemicals
